Before You Start

Make sure you have your License ID and Activation Keys from your purchase confirmation email.

Three Package Types:

📱 Client PackageFor Tables

Install on iPads or tablets placed at customer tables. This is the customer-facing menu interface.

Installation Process

Extract and install on each device

Installation Steps:

Extract the ZIP file

Right-click the downloaded file and select "Extract All" or "Unzip". Choose a location on your device.

Run the installer

Windows
Double-click setup.exe
macOS
Drag to Applications

Run install.sh

Follow the on-screen installation wizard. Accept the license agreement and choose the installation directory.

Launch the application

After installation completes, launch AutoDine. You'll see the activation screen on first launch.

Tip: Create desktop shortcuts for quick access. Pin the app to your taskbar for easy launching.

Device Activation

Enter your activation key to register the device

Important!

Use the correct activation key for each device type:
• Client devices → CLNT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
• Kitchen devices → KTCN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
• Admin devices → ADMN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Activation Process:

Open Activation Screen

When you launch AutoDine for the first time, you'll see the activation screen with a text field.

Enter Activation Key

Copy your activation key from the purchase confirmation page and paste it into the activation field.

Example activation key:
CLNT-ABC7-XYZ9-MNO3

Click Activate

Press the "Activate" button. The app will connect to AutoDine servers to validate your key.

Note: Internet connection required for initial activation only.

Activation Complete!

Once validated, you'll see a success message and the app will be ready to use. The device is now registered to your license.

Initial Configuration

Set up your restaurant details and menu

Admin Panel Setup (Do this first!)

  1. Restaurant Information: Enter name, address, contact details
  2. Menu Setup: Add categories, items, prices, and images
  3. Table Configuration: Define table numbers and screen assignments
  4. Payment Settings: Configure payment options
  5. Language Preferences: Select available languages

Sync All Devices

After configuring the admin panel, all changes sync automatically to client and kitchen devices within seconds.

Devices must be on the same network or have internet connection for sync.

Troubleshooting

❌ "Invalid Activation Key" error
• Double-check you're using the correct key for the device type (CLNT for clients, KTCN for kitchen, ADMN for admin)
• Ensure no extra spaces before or after the key
• Verify your license is active and not expired
• Contact support if the issue persists
❌ "Device limit reached" error
• Your license plan has a maximum number of devices per type
• Log into the customer portal to view active devices
• Deactivate unused devices to free up slots
• Consider upgrading to a higher plan for more devices
❌ Installation fails or won't launch
• Check system requirements match your device
• Disable antivirus temporarily during installation
• Run installer as Administrator (Windows) or with sudo (Linux)
• Ensure you have enough disk space (minimum 500MB)
• Try redownloading the package
❌ Devices not syncing
• Verify all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
• Check firewall settings aren't blocking AutoDine
• Restart the admin panel and wait 30 seconds
• Force sync from Admin Panel → Settings → Sync All Devices
